As we have completed our group gatherings in the Parish pondering the question- hat Shall We Build.?

Here are some of the responses that people offered in the group gathering

  • Establish opportunities that take into account the mobility of the parish

  • Undertake step to develop an effective Music Ministry

  • Commit to a establishing a legacy for the next generation by calling together the long time members to serve as patrons of ministry for another generation.

  • Develop further the Young Adult Community Rez 2:42

  • Increase the budget for the first time in 10 years

  • Diversify the participation in ministry with the community using at least one gift to build up COTR in 2019

More information as to how some of these will be accomplished will be coming in the next week  along with Covenant Cards for building up the Parish  with Time, Talent and Treasure..

Letter of Welcome from the Rector

Thank you for visiting the Resurrections home page.

We want to thank you for taking the opportunity to visit us in this way. Whether you are a lifelong Christian, a seeker, brand new to a faith journey, old time Anglican or simply curious about this parish or what a faith community that is Anglican is all about, we are glad you are visiting and hope you will follow up by visiting in person. Wherever you are in your faith journey, you are welcome to journey with us.

We know that in the world we live in, life breeds more questions than answers at times. We are a people who have learned to live with questions while seeking answers through the gifts of our Christian heritage, through Sacred Scripture, Tradition, and Reason. Perhaps that is part of the reason our Education offerings are at times, quite lively! If you have questions but are not quite ready for a visit, please feel free to contact one of our clergy, located on the staff page, and ask to speak with us, and we will try our earnest best to offer an insight that may be of help! Resurrection is a parish community from north and south, east and west; all pilgrims on the journey seeking ways to live the Christian faith. At times we do so in our local environment here in Tampa Bay while we also have commitments to brothers and sisters as far as Africa and the Indian Ocean.

As you visit the page you will find some information about the construction on the property which we have had in our possession for 2 years. That commitment to building and rebuilding is an external sign of our commitment to building and rebuilding the virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love in our community and world. We hope that is a value for you on your journey. If so, take the words of Jesus to heart...."Come to me all who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest". Resurrection is about renewal, serving, praying and caring together for the sake of Christ in the world. Please know you are most welcome!
