Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.
We put these words into action through a local food pantry at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and through our refugee ministry known as Africans United. We collect food and funds through our monthly “Silver and Tin” (Silver is change and Tin is the canned food) collection which helps to supply the needs of the food pantry.
Through the ministry of Fr. Gabriel Ipasu we help African refugees in our area to integrate into our country, become good citizens and help them in time of need. We get many chances to meet the people we are helping and celebrate with them.
